There are no hosepipe bans anywhere in the UK at the moment and there are unlikely to be any in 2011.

Is there an hose pipe ban due in the south east of England? we have not had rain for weeks and still my next door neighbor is using a sprinkler on his grass, can’t wait to tell him when it does come in. lol

I can collect a large water butt FULL of water in 10 minutes of average rainfall from only part of my roof area. This lasts me 2 – 3 weeks of watering plants and vegetables in my garden, AND, given our normal rainfall, the butt remains full, and I have to have an overflow system in place. If I can do that in 10mins, I feel there must be some serious mismanagement of water collection/storage happening somewhere.
