Hello and welcome to www.hosepipeban.org.uk - a web site set up to offer resources and discussion on the subjects of the hosepipe ban, drought and water shortage problems faced by residents of the UK.

Obviously we’re just starting out here, so please come back regularly to see how the site progresses. Hopefully the site will generate lots of interest.

    Hi there,
    My little daughter keeps asking me to get out here paddling pool in this hot weather.Yet i have heard that you are not allowed to get them out due to the water ban. is this true, and what are the rules and conditions?

    Hi Lauren
    Not sure which area you live in, but I know you can use a paddling pool OK. Again, depends on where you are but you should actually be able to fill it with a hosepipe without any problem.

    So let your daughter have some fun in the hot weather!
